We’ve seen a lot since we started painting back in 1992.

We’ve had bats fly at our heads while painting 3rd-story peak vents. Last year, we had a puppy sprint through a pan of paint and leave behind some pretty adorable paw-prints and tail wag splashes.

But this one? This one was special for anyone that has kiddos!

A repeat customer gave us a call and casually mentioned her child had “doodled on the wall a little” and needed it painted before family came in for the holidays.

Then we showed up…and discovered that “a little doodle” actually meant a full-room, four-wall gallery presentation.

Honestly, we were impressed by the creativity and persistence of this future Picasso. A true rising star in the abstract expressionist movement. 😄

Colored Canvas to Clean Slate

Once we finished admiring the kiddo’s artwork we got to work:

• Removed all outlet and switch plates

• Pole sanded the wall smooth

• Taped and tarped to protect trim and floors

• Applied a high-quality stain-blocking primer to lock down the “gallery”

• Finished with two coats of durable, semi-washable eggshell paint

Just like that… the walls went from “modern art exhibit” to clean, fresh, like-new condition—just in time for the holiday guests.

We couldn’t help but joke with the young artist:

“If you ever want a job painting… we’re always looking for talented artists to work with!” 😄

Sometimes you need a paint job and we are experts at covering up life’s fun adventures.
