This kitchen cabinet painting project started with a referral from a neighbor. We provided a free and quick quote for painting the wood cabinets. The homeowner shared that our pricing was very fair compared to the other quotes she had collected.

We scheduled her painting quote on the week that was convenient to our customer. Protecting the home was the first priority. Floors and countertops were fully tarped and taped, cabinet doors were removed and labeled for proper reinstallation, and all metal hardware was removed and bagged and labeled per cabinet.

Every wood surface was lightly sanded and deglossed, then cleaned and neutralized to ensure proper adhesion. This preparation allows cabinet finishes to last for many years without peeling or failure.

A specialty cabinet primer was applied to all surfaces including cabinet frames, door fronts and backs, interior boxes, and trim. Using a professional spray application, we achieved a smooth, near factory-like finish. The mess was very minimal due to our low volume sprayer and tarping.

Two coats of cabinet-specific paint were applied, delivering a bright white finish that holds its color, resists yellowing from sunlight, and is easy to clean with standard household cleaners. The finish is highly durable for families, kids, pets, and normal kitchen use.

Cabinet painting typically costs about 10-15% of full cabinet replacement, making it one of the best returns on investment for a kitchen update.

To complete the transformation, the ceiling was painted eggshell white to cover and prevent future food stains and smoke discoloration. Walls were drywall repaired, back caulked for a seamless finish, and painted with two coats of a modern dark blue. The space was starting to feel real cozy!

The entire project was completed in just four days. After cleanup, the homeowner shared that it was like we were never there and is now hosting a Super Bowl party to show off the new kitchen.

In this photo, we began taping and tarping all surfaces that needed protected. Notice how we started the ceiling painting to a fresh white.

All hardware has been removed and drawers moved to our spray booth set up.

The cabinets go 3 stages of preparation and then the primer spray application began. Nice and smooth finish for a factory type finish.

Drywall repair began on the walls as the first cost of white, glossy and durable specialty cabinet paint is sprayed on. Slick & Smooth!
