The process so that your rotted wood is replaced and the new wood looks seamless:
- rip out old wood
- dispose of that rotted wood
- cut new wood to replace exactly, matching the texture and fit
- prime all new wood
- caulk to seal and for a seamless look
- paint the new wood to match the rest of the home
