The 3-day project included exterior painting, rotted trim board replacement, specialized caulking, aggressive power washing, and detailed finish work across multiple surfaces.

It started with a simple complaint: “We can’t get rid of those streaks under the windows.”

This homeowner had lived in the house for years and loved everything about the structure—except what the elements had done to it. Florida’s rain tends to roll off windows and shutters in ways that stain stucco below. Over time, the runoff left dark, vertical streaks that power washing alone couldn’t erase.

The home’s color wasn’t helping either. A bland beige did little to hide imperfections or provide visual interest. On top of that, the front facade had become visually cluttered with aging shutters that no longer added charm.

Scope of Services

• Surface Preparation: Performed an aggressive chemical power wash to remove dirt, mildew, chalk, and oxidation from the sun-aged stucco.
• Moisture Inspection & Crack Repair: Assessed and identified hairline stucco cracks and patched them using a specialty mortar compound designed for stucco surfaces.
• Caulking & Sealing: Applied high-performance elastomeric caulk to all cracks and joints to create a weather-tight seal and prevent future water intrusion.
• Trim Repair: Removed one rotted trim board on the back of the house, replaced it with new wood, and primed it thoroughly for proper paint adhesion.
• Masking & Protection: Carefully masked all windows, door hardware, landscaping edges, and other sensitive surfaces to protect them during the spray and brush work.
• Two-Coat Paint Application: Applied two full coats of elastomeric stucco paint using brush, roll, and spray techniques to achieve complete coverage and color uniformity—even in the texture’s deepest grooves.
• Detailing & Styling Touches: Painted fascia boards in white, eaves (soffits) in a cool gray, and stucco ornamental coins to match for a stylish, layered look.
• Accent Color Enhancement: Repainted the front door and garage doors with a deep brown satin finish, elevating the entryway and giving the garage greater curbside character.

Results:

The difference was night and day.

Where the house once looked tired and faded, it now radiates warmth, cleanliness, and style. The white body color brightened the exterior, while the contrasting trim and architectural accents added depth and texture. The front door, once hidden in shadow under the porch ceiling, now draws the eye with its rich, glossy brown. And the garage doors, formerly blending into the stucco, now anchor the visual flow of the home with character and charm.
